Alex Vesia’s Wife Kayla Vesia Shares Heartbreaking Update After Baby’s Death
Kayla Vesia is checking in following an unimaginable loss.
After she and husband Alex Vesia shared Nov. 7 that their baby girl Sterling Sol Vesia had died, Kayla opened up for the first time about the couple’s grieving process.
“You know, I don’t have much to say, honestly,” Kayla, 29, began the Jan. 2 TikTok video. “Alex and I are trying to get through it every day. Every day is so different for us, and I don’t really have the words.”
The Los Angeles Dodgers player and influencer shared the news of their baby’s Oct. 26 death in a joint Instagram post, noting the “pain” of losing their daughter. Looking back on the heartbreaking ordeal, Kayla shared that she’s still in disbelief.
“I was prepared for whatever was going to happen,” she shared later in the video through tears. “I wasn’t prepared for not taking my baby home.”
But even in the face of tragedy, Kayla is grateful for the outpouring of support, including from her husband’s teammates.
“It just felt right to come and say, ‘thank you,’” she continued. “I am really grateful for the community of you guys and just expressing your support and love towards us. It really has brought us a lot of comfort during this.”
And the TikTok star also addressed what her online content will look like moving forward, which she hopes will help other families navigate similar situations.
“[I don’t know] what this content is going to look like going forward, but I do want to share my journey,” Kayla said through tears. “I don’t know how much I’m gonna share, I don’t know the details, but I do know I want to share if it can help somebody who’s going through the same thing, you know, feel like they’re not alone.”

Though Kayla—who wed the MLB athlete in January 2025—got teary-eyes during the heart-felt message to her supporters, she emphasized her hopes to use her platform as a safe space to process her emotional pain.
She continued, “I don’t want to come on the internet and cry. I don’t think that’s fun for anyone. So, I think it will be a good outlet to be able to talk and share, different from me and Alex talking and talking with our therapist. It’s just a different outlet.”
While Kayla doesn’t know what the future holds, she’s looking forward to making her way back to content creation.
“I’m wishing everyone a happy new year,” she added. “I don’t know what this year is going to bring. I’ll slowly be getting back on here. Love you guys, and that’s about it for right now.”
