Kris Jenner, Amy Schumer & More Celeb Transformations of 2025
By now we’re pretty used to Christian Bale undergoing a jaw-dropping physical transformation for a movie.
Or at least a cosmetic one, the English actor admitting that losing and gaining hundreds of pounds over the years has taken its toll.
But for the upcoming biopic Madden, in which Bale plays fiery Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, he logged long hours in the makeup chair with Nicole Cage, who channeled the titular coaching and broadcasting legend John Madden.
The first official teaser that dropped on Christmas shows the extent of the actors’ transformations. Bales’ hairline is in full recessive mode for his turn as Davis, while Cage is toting extra weight to play the portly Madden, whose appetite for winning and affinity for football was only rivaled by his love of food and drink.

And rest assured, if the teaser is any indication, Cage has dug into the role with gusto.
The film, fittingly due out next Thanksgiving (in honor of the man who also did so much for the turducken), reteams Bale with American Hustle helmer David O. Russell, who also directed the actor’s Oscar-winning turn in The Fighter.
When announcing the project in 2023, Amazon MGM Studios stated that the film would focus on Madden’s “Super Bowl-winning partnership with fellow coach Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating Madden NFL, and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history.”
Madden, who coached the Raiders to a championship in 1977 before leaving the sidelines for his equally memorable chapter in the broadcasting booth, passed away in 2021 at the age of 85. Davis died in 2011 at 82. His son Mark Davis remains the controlling owner of the now Las Vegas-based Raiders, who last won the Super Bowl in 1984. Tom Brady owns a minority stake in the team.

Madden also stars Kathryn Hahn as John’s wife Virginia Madden, Sienna Miller as Al’s wife Carol Davis and John Mulaney as Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins, who had the foresight to sign the iconic football announcer, a collab that resulted in a certain little video game franchise.

The Disney Channel later explained her ever-changing style, telling InStyle, “It’s whatever is real in that moment.”

After dropping over 200 pounds in his yearslong weight loss journey, the country music star underwent another major transformation when he shaved off his signature beard.
“I look like a ninja turtle,” he quipped in a November Instagram video. “Crazy. One of the reasons I even started growing a beard is I was so obese, it was just easier to cover up what was happening here.”
Even his wife Bunnie Xo was floored by his clean-shaven face.
“I have never seen this man without his facial hair,” she said in an Instagram video of her own at the time. “You look so fine, dude.”

What started out as online criticism about her “puffier” face led to a Cushing syndrome diagnosis for the Trainwreck star, who learned last year she had the hormonal disorder that can cause death if left untreated.
Since then, Amy embarked on a wellness journey that saw her lose 50 pounds. As she explained in a December Instagram post, “Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive.”
“I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you but the internet caught it and that disease has cleared,” she continued, defending herself against backlast over her transformation. “Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost weight.”

By December, she looked nearly unrecognizable when she debuted her darkest waves yet.

Shortly after filing for divorce from Keith Urban to end their 19-year marriage, the Oscar winner changed up her look by sporting bangs at Paris Fashion Week in October.
But this wasn’t the first ‘do Nicole tried out in 2025. At the Met Gala in May, she rocked a short, neck-length haircut with brown roots that her hairstylist Adir Abergel, said was inspired by “essence of Dandyism.”
