Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker Celebrate Son Rocky’s 2nd Birthday
Kourtney Kardashian is keeping the day of Rocky Barker‘s birth fresh in her mind.
Five days after celebrating her and Travis Barker‘s son turning 2, the Kardashians star shared a never-before-seen photo taken shortly after Rocky’s arrival in 2023.
As seen in a snapshot posted on Instagram Nov. 6, Kourtney was wearing gray pajamas as she cradled her baby boy while lounging on a hospital bed. To protect Rocky’s privacy, the 47-year-old—who is also mom to kids Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, with ex Scott Disick—covered her son’s face with a heart emoji.
“On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered, ‘Life will never be the same,'” Kourtney wrote in the caption, quoting Nancy Tillman‘s On the Night You Were Born. “Because there had never been anyone like you…ever in the world.”
Alongside a photo of the children’s book resting on a fuzzy blanket, she added, “Heaven blew every trumpet and played every horn on the wonderful, marvelous night you were born.”
Indeed, Rocky’s birth was quite eventful. In fact, it was a three-day labor process that started on Oct. 29, when Kourtney started having contractions around 8 p.m.
“I’m not in any pain,” she told sister Khloe Kardashian at the time, as seen on a 2024 episode of The Kardashians. “I don’t know if his real birthday is supposed to be Halloween or today.”
Ultimately, Kourtney’s water broke on Halloween night, with doctors rushing her to the delivery room around 11:45 p.m. Rocky was born exactly on midnight Nov. 1 to Frank Sinatra‘s “That’s Life” playing on the stereo.

“We were like, ‘What a perfect song,’ The way that it all happened is just such a reminder that God’s timing is everything,” Kourtney shared on the show. “It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Everything we’ve been through to get to this moment, it just feels so surreal.”
She added, “I’m so happy in my blissful baby bubble and the love with Rocky.”
