Fire alarm goes off at SAN, confirmed as false alarm

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A fire alarm that went off at San Diego International Airport (SAN) on Wednesday prompted an evacuation.

One social media post published around 4 p.m. showed the alarm going off in Terminal 1 with dozens of people trying to exit the airport.

SAN confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI that it was a false alarm and about 100 people were evacuated as a precaution.

The evacuation only lasted a few minutes, the airport said.

No other details were released about the incident.
