SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A brush fire was reported Sunday afternoon along eastbound Interstate 8, east of Waring Road, according to officials with California Highway Patrol.

The blaze was seen climbing vegetation on a barrier wall around 2:30 p.m.. Firefighters were at the scene, with at least two fire trucks.

CHP said the right two lanes of the freeway will be closed in the impacted area for one to two hours, while crews work to contain the fire.

There are no evacuation orders at this time, and no injuries have been reported.
