SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diegans enjoyed warm weather along the coastline on Sunday with temperatures in the 70s by the beach.

Meanwhile, the mountains saw showers stick around through the afternoon.

Over the weekend, Tierra Del Sol tracked some of the most rain with about 0.23″ and Mount Laguna accumulated almost .10″ of rain.

Rain chances diminish on Sunday evening as monsoonal moisture moves out of San Diego County.

By the middle of the week, a low pressure trough will usher in gusty winds and cooler than normal temps, giving us an early taste of fall.

Highs will drop 10-20 degrees below average across the county through the middle of the week.

Overnight, the marine layer will deepen significantly, extending into the inland valleys.

Late-week, temperatures will return closer to normal as the trough weakens.
