SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A law enforcement pursuit resulted in a crash Friday on Interstate 15 southbound at State Route 163. San Diego police also confirmed the pursuit was an officer-involved shooting involving Escondido police.
Around 4:52 p.m., SkyFOX/KUSI in the Sky was over the location where several California Highway Patrol vehicles surrounded two crashed vehicles.
All lanes on I-15 south at SR-163 will be closed for an unknown duration of time due to the law enforcement activity, California Highway Patrol posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 5:28 p.m.
Authorities advise to use alternate routes.
CHP will be leading the investigation.
