VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A violent road rage incident resulted in the arrest of two people in Vista last weekend.

On Sunday, the drivers of a Toyota Sequoia and Jeep Cherokee got involved in a confrontation on the road through a residential neighborhood near Calle Jules and Via Felicidad, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office (SDSO) said in a news release Wednesday.

Authorities say the driver of the Toyota Sequoia was aggressively pursuing the Jeep Cherokee through the neighborhood when the Sequoia struck a pedestrian and several parked cars.

When the Sequoia collided head-on with another car and became inoperable, the driver of the Sequoia left the vehicle and entered the passenger side of the Jeep she had been chasing, according to law enforcement. Both suspects left the scene together.

The driver of the Sequoia, identified as 41-year-old Lindsey Bigbey, and the driver of the Jeep Cherokee, identified as 42-year-old Nathan Robson, were later found and arrested Wednesday in the 2600 block of East Mission Bay Drive in San Diego, per SDSO.

Both suspects were booked into the Vista Detention Facility and face multiple felony charges, including hit-and-run, assault with a deadly weapon and aiding and abetting.

The pedestrian who was hit by the vehicle was taken to a hospital with major injuries, while multiple vehicles sustained significant damage.
