Foster + Partners, Heatherwick Studio and WilkinsonEyre‘s proposals for a memorial to Queen Elizabeth II near Buckingham Palace in London have been revealed.
Readers didn’t rate the design concepts, with one commenting, “what a mediocre bunch of designs from the so-called great and good of architecture”, while another stated, “Heatherwick would be the leading horse, based on the effort so far”.
Other stories in this week’s newsletter that fired up the comments section included Amazon’s first logo update in 20 years, a transportation hub at the Venice Architecture Biennale designed by Norman Foster and a pair of holiday cabins in Kazakhstan.
