San Diego Comic-Con 2025 will feature Disney activations including a Block Party complete with a Ferris wheel hosted by “Abbott Elementary”, a “King of the Hill” Backyard Cookout, an “Alien: Earth” experience, and a “Percy Jackson” interactive event, with exclusive merchandise, and more.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Comic-Con is almost here for another year of panels and fan activations so even those without a ticket can still take part in the immersive events around downtown San Diego that are made just for fans.

San Diego Comic-ConĀ is set to take place at the Convention Center in downtown San Diego from July 24-27, 2025.

As of early July, the Malibu Barbie Cafe pop-up experience that features a roller rink and restaurant and four Disney activations are the only activations for this year’s convention announced so far.

Here is a breakdown of the four Disney activations taking place at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 — “Abbott Elementary,” “Alien: Earth,” “Percy Jackson,” and “King of the Hill.”

Abbott Elementary

“Abbott Elementary” is hosting aĀ free block partyĀ at San Diego Comic-Con. The ABC show on X teased “‘Abbott Elementary’ is getting ready to FUN-raise at San Diego Comic-Con.”

A Very Abbott Block Party” will feature a sky-high Ferris wheel with waterfront views, fans will get a chance to try Philly water ice, and will be able to grab “exclusive premiums” from the school’s Lost and Found where you can snag limited-edition pins of your favorite characters, bucket hats and boom box bags.

The show’s stars and executive producers will screen a fan-favorite episode from season four of the television show, and will hold a behind-the-scenes conversation about what makes the award-winning comedy a hit during a Saturday panel in the Indigo Room.

King of the Hill

Disney and Hulu are throwing a backyard cookout at San Diego Comic-Con — “King of the Hill” style.

The “King of the Hill” Backyard Cookout Activation is heading to San Diego Comic-Con this year, with, of course, BBQ. Fans will also be able to take part in lawn games, themed photo ops and can grab a cold can of Alamo (water) to beat the heat.

Hulu announced there will also be custom merch and exclusive prizes for fans.

The “King of the Hill” activation will be held next to the Convention Center in the Bayfront’s Parking Lot A.

Fifteen years after the last original episode of “King of the Hill” aired, the animated series will show the world premiere of the season 14 revival at San Diego Comic-Con, exclusively at a Friday panel in the Indigo Room.

Alien: Earth

As “Alien: Earth”Ā is set to make its official debut at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 25, fans that don’t have a ticket can take part in the activation — “Alien: Earth – The Wreckage.”

Fans in attendance at the Hall H panel will be treated to an exclusive world premiere of the pilot episode, while the “Alien: Earth” activation will take place on the Hilton Bayfront Lawn.

At the activation, fans will encounter interactive thrills like never-before-seen alien specimens and will get the chance to explore the crash site of the USCSS Maginot, the mysterious space vessel from the series.

The “Alien: Earth” activation will have day and night experiences, with the nighttime experience promoted as more intense as fans will have to brave a mission at night.

Percy Jackson

Percy JacksonĀ fans can take part in “Percy Jackson & The Olympians – The Percy Jackson Experience” at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, based on “Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Sea of Monsters.”

The interactive experience will take over Fifth Avenue and L Street in downtown San Diego throughout San Diego Comic-Con this year.

Fans can peer through the Mist, find out which god has claimed them, and trade drachma for mythic merch in anticipation of the second season.

The executive producers and cast will be taking over Hall H for a Thursday panel with a behind-the-scenes look at the new season that premieres this December on Disney+.
