Nikki Garcia Is “Single, Ready to Mingle” On Kristin Cavallari’s Podcast Tour Finale
Nikki Garcia is pulling out a finisher to set this record straight.
The WWE star clapped back after a social media user questioned whether her 4-year-old son Matteo, whom she shares with ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev, “ever” sees her.
Writing directly in response to the comment, Nikki asked, “Wonder if you write that to Dad’s[sic]? And yes he was with me 🙂 All week. Just bc I don’t post him all the time doesn’t mean he isn’t with me. I try to keep as much as I can private for his sake.”
The 41-year-old shared a screenshot of the interaction to her July 20 Instagram Story “for all to see,” sharing more information about her and Artem’s current coparenting situation.
“My son is with me a lot,” she wrote. “Majority of the week when I’m home. Every Tuesday when I land I drive straight to get him. And drop off on Sundays when I leave. Sometimes I am gone longer and his Dad and I have a great coparent system. He understands how much he needs his mommy.”
She also reiterated her wish that Matteo’s privacy “could be protected more,” noting, “l understand sharing certain moments every now and then but not all the time.”

She finished, “So please no more comments like this. Maybe shouldn’t have responded but triggered bc a small group of you think if your kid isn’t posted all the time he isn’t with you.”
In the time since Nikki and Artem’s very public divorce and ensuing legal battle in 2024, the pro-wrestler has gotten candid about the challenges of navigating relationship and personal ups and downs while in the public eye—including how her onscreen persona may have swayed public opinion about her split.
“I feel like when you’re badass women and you kick ass in a ring,” she told Kristin Cavallari in the June 25 episode of Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, “people just assume you’re not empathetic.”

She added, “People bring up like, ‘Well I don’t know, 2017, your character in the ring…’ I’m like, ‘That’s not real. I was playing a villain.’ I was playing a character and they all think I’m that person. I mean, I heard it in court through the divorce. Because I was a strong woman, a pro wrestler.”
But for Nikki, she thinks the two should be mutually exclusive.
“You should not be able to use anything in entertainment,” she insisted. “That’s bulls–t.”

Nikki explained that Artem would be joining her in live tweeting the episode, though that wasn’t the only reason for his social media cameo. “I have a special guest who had a really fun Sunday fun day with me,” she told fans in the Live video, before explaining they spent the afternoon enjoying ramen and non-alcoholic beer together.

Messing Around
Artem followed Nikki’s adorable Instagram post with one of his own the following the day. The scenic shot showed a giddy-looking Nikki smiling and covering Artem’s face while his arm was wrapped sweetly around her waist.
It’s Official!
Trailing Total Bellas‘ fourth season finale, the WWE star took to Instagram Sunday night, March 24, with an adorable snapshot that saw her planting a sweet kiss on the DWTS pro’s cheek.
The photo seemed to reemphasize what the final moments of Sunday’s episode already confirmed: that Nikki and Artem are, in fact, doing the romance thing.
“Well after that season finale,” she wrote in the post’s caption, adding that her and Artem’s relationship is the “first thing I’ll be talking about” during Wednesday’s upcoming episode of The Bellas Podcast. Stay tuned!
