Taylor Swift Flashes Engagement Ring to Travis Kelce at iHeartRadio Music Awards
Gracie Hunt is kicking off an exciting new era.
The 27-year-old daughter of billionaire Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt announced her engagement to Derek Green—whose dad Trent Green was the team’s quarterback for five of his 15 seasons in the NFL—nearly one year after hard launching their romance on social media.
In a post on Instagram April 4, Gracie shared multiple photos of the outdoor proposal, where the couple were surrounded by white candles and flowers on a wooden deck. Derek, 26, got down on one knee in a light gray suit, while his bride-to-be wore a white floor-length dress.
As for Gracie’s new sparkler, one close-up pic offered a detailed glimpse at her emerald-cut ring, complete with diamonds along the band and a single emerald green stone.
“It was always you,” the football fanatic—who works in brand development and marketing for the Chiefs—wrote alongside her post, with her now-fiancé adding in a comment, “FOREVER AND EVER.”
The pair were also joined by their loved ones for the elaborate occasion, including their dads as well as Gracie’s mom Tavia Hunt and Derek’s mom Julie Green, who eagerly shared their excitement about the merging of their families.
“Couldn’t be happier to gain another daughter!!” Julie commented on the post. “Congratulations D and G! Love you both so much!!”

Tavia also offered her well-wishes, adding in her own comment, “DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!”
Gracie and Derek made their relationship Instagram official in May, when the former Miss Kansas USA shared snaps from a tropical getaway with friends. But as it turns out, the soon-to-be spouses have known one another much longer than their digital footprints might suggest.
“Derek and I have known each other our whole lives,” Gracie told People in August. “We would actually play together as babies during the Chiefs’ Christmas parties every year, and then we reconnected as adults in 2017 and met on the sidelines pregame.”
And the rest is history, as Gracie added that the pair “have been inseparable ever since.”
