Hailee Steinfeld Shows Off Baby Bump in Pregnancy Update
UPDATE: Charles Melton welcomed his first baby with director Camille Summers-Valli, the Riverdale alum announced on March 9. He shared photos of the newborn, writing on Instagram, “Our family.”

Charles Melton is taking on a big new role: dad.
The Riverdale alum and Camille Summers-Valli are expecting their first baby together, the music video director shared on Instagram Jan. 3, writing alongside photos of Charles and her growing bump, “making a lil family.”
E! News has reached out to reps for Charles regarding Camille’s pregnancy but has not yet heard back.
Although Charles and Camille have been private about their relationship up to this point, Camille’s announcement puts their romance on display. In one photo, Charles plants a kiss on her belly, and in another he lays on the floor next to her at the doctor’s office as she sits on an examination table.
Naturally, the couple’s friends were floored by the news. For one, Charles’ Warfare costar Michael Gandolfini added in the comments, “Mom and dad!!! Love you both so much.”
Charles’ journey to fatherhood alongside Camille comes after he was publicly linked to Chloe Bennet in 2023 and Chase Sui Wonders the year before. However, the 35-year-old’s most public relationship was with his former Riverdale costar Camila Mendes, on-and-off from 2018 to 2021.
During their romance, Charles admitted that he loved writing notes to his then-girlfriend.
“There’s something special about a letter,” Charles explained to Glamour in 2019. “You don’t have to let someone know you’re always thinking about them, but it’s nice to know.”
Meanwhile, Camila—who got engaged to Rudy Mancuso in October after three years of dating—reflected on the difficulty of working with her ex on the iconic Archie comics series following their breakup.

“It’s the worst,” Camila admitted during a 2024 appearance on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. “But it’s hard because the timing of the show—it was jokes—because it was like, any time we started to hook up off set and knew that something was brewing, our characters would start dating. But they didn’t know. No one knew. The writers just would naturally make it happen.”
As for when the pair split for good, though, Camila assured, “It ended very peacefully.”
