‘XO Kitty’s Anna Cathcart Shares Love Advice She Got From Noah Centineo & Lana Condor

The Covey sisters are feeling the love once again.

Lana Condor is headed back to the world of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, with her character Lara Jean Covey set to appear on season three of Netflix’s spin-off series XO, Kitty, which stars Anna Cathcart as Lara Jean’s matchmaking little sister, Kitty.

Lana’s appearance was revealed in a new behind-the-scenes clip, in which Sang Heon Lee (who plays Min Ho) called out “Covey?” on set and both Lana and Anna both turned around in response.

Lana posted the video to her Instagram March 6, writing in the caption, “Hi Sister.”

Indeed, the 28-year-old—who last played Lara Jean in 2021’s To All the Boys: Always and Foreverwas emotional about returning to author Jenny Han’s world alongside her former costar.

“It’s such a joy to be able to come back and see Anna,” Lana told Netflix’s Tudum in an interview published March 6. “I think she did an amazing job creating the XO, Kitty world.”

“It’s such a dream to be able to work with her again,” she added. “I feel really excited and happy and honored I get to be back.”

Lana had previously teased that a return to the All the Boys universe was certainly a possibility, saying, “Never say never.”

“It’s pretty clear that I love the To All the Boys world and have dedicated a lot of my young adulthood to it,” she told TheWrap in 2023. “To me, that world feels like home.”

And Lana wasn’t the only All the Boys alum to make her way to XO, Kitty. In addition to John Corbett (Dr. Covey) and Janel Parrish (Margot), Lara Jean’s love interest Noah Centineo (Peter Kavinsky) paid a visit to Kitty in season two

And according to Noah, he couldn’t say no to the chance of working with Anna again when he got a call from All The Boys producer and XO, Kitty exec producer Matt Kaplan.

Matt Kaplan and one of my friends over at Netflix called me and said, ‘Hey, you’re going to be shooting in South Korea at the same time that we are. Would you be interested in coming back for XO, Kitty?,’” Noah told Deadline in 2025. “And I said, ‘Yeah, anything for Anna.’ I think Anna is just wonderful and hard working and super talented, just a professional, and she deserves the world.”

Still, there was a bit of anxiety going back to a character he hadn’t played in several years.

“It’s a daunting thing to go back to Peter, to open that box,” Noah admitted. “You don’t want to disappoint or let anyone down. The character is kind of what it is. But actually, it worked out. How could I say no?”

Season three of XO, Kitty premieres on Netflix April 2. For a look at more shows hitting the small screen this year, keep reading.
