Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart Turn Heads During Rare Date Night at Emmys 2025
Harrison Ford isn’t shrinking from his accomplishments.
In fact, during the 2026 Actor Awards in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 1, the Star Wars actor was honored by his fellow SAG-AFTRA members with the Lifetime Achievement Award, appearing visibly moved to receive such an honor as he recalled how his early personal struggles inspired him to pursue performing.
“In my third year of college, I was a little lost,” he said during the Kristen Bell-hosted ceremony. “I was failing at school. I felt isolated, alone, and then I found the company of people putting on plays, storytellers, people I once thought were misfits and geeks turned out to be my people.”
Holding back tears, Harrison recognized his collaborators both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, remarking, “The work I do with other actors is one of the great joys of my life.”
He also took a moment to give a special shoutout to his loved ones—including his “extraordinary, beautiful wife” Calista Flockhart, who accompanied him to the event—noting that they “have given me love and courage through all of it.”
But the heartfelt speech also had moments of levity, as the 83-year-old joked that he felt “a little weird” to be receiving the prestigious award “at the half point of my career.”
“It’s a little early, isn’t it,” he quipped. “I’m still a working actor.”

This awards season has marked a big one for Harrison following a health battle last year. Though he had to skip out on his presenting duties at the 2025 Oscars after a shingles diagnosis, he and Calista—who are parents to Liam, 25—stepped out for a rare date night at the 2025 Emmys in September.
Still, despite the minor setback, Harrison—also dad to adult children Benjamin, 59, Williard, 56, Malcolm, 36, and Georgia, 35, from previous relationships—shared that he has no plans on slowing down and embraced his storied career, with or without the accolades.
“I’m grateful, but I would have done what I did—and I’ll do what I’m doing—regardless of whether it’s deemed worthy of mention or not,” he said in an interview with Variety in July. “Because it’s what I do. It’s what I love doing. I love telling stories. I love pretending to be somebody else.”
For Harrison, he’ll never have to stop playing pretend.
“That’s one of the things I thought was attractive about the job of an actor,” he added about retirement. “Was that they need old people, too, to play old people’s parts.”
