The makeup trends we are seeing everywhere for spring (especially during NYFW) is undeniably the sleepy girl look. It brings together so many things we love: glowy skin, moisturized lips, and bronzy eyes, and it’s so easy to do at home.
We asked makeup artist Jaleesa Jaikaran, who created the makeup looks for PatBO‘s Fall/Winter 2026 Collection during NYFW, about all of spring’s major beauty trends to keep our eye on, and how we can recreate the look.
“We’re going to see more of this kind of effortless, bronzy eye coming out of fashion week. As an artist who’s been doing fashion week for over a decade this look always feels modern and wearable but still elevated,” she told E! exclusively.

As for the rest of your face, Jaikaran adds that it’s all about “enhancing the skin rather than covering it because well prepped skin is everything,” which you can achieve with glowy complexion products.

What’s the best way to achieve this look at home? What’s the secret?
“For me, the key to achieving it at home is keeping everything soft and diffused rather than overly precise. It’s almost as if you want to be a bit messy then perfect it. I love using a small fluffy blending brush to start to buff out the liner. That slightly undone finish is what makes it feel cool,” Jaikaran suggests.

We’ve been seeing a resurgence of ’90s everything lately, including fluffy brows, which Jaikaran says are “absolutely here to stay.”
“They frame the face in a way that feels effortless and they balance out softer makeup looks beautifully,” she explains. “At home the best approach is to brush the brows up and out, following their natural shape and use a lightweight brow gel to hold them in place. Less filling, more brushing. You want them to look full and touchable, not overly sculpted.”

“Right now I’m loving anything that feels soft, warm and slightly undone, which perfectly aligned with my inspiration for this show. The look was a beautiful mix of glowy skin, diffused eyes and brows that feel natural,” Jaikaran explains.
She adds, “However, balancing the softness of the skin, I’m appreciating the resurgence of the use of color. While Spring beauty feels easy and fresh, it also feels fun and flirty and that’s a beautiful balance.”
