Netflix is set to awaken the romantic in everyone once again with its newly greenlit, relatable romcom, Messily Ever After (WT), starring Kim Min-ha (Pachinko, Typhoon Family, Way Back Love) and Noh Sang-hyun (Pachinko, Love in the Big City) as a couple whose ten-year relationship swings between “love you to death” and “drive you crazy.”

Su-hyun (Kim Min-ha) and Hyun-tae (Noh Sang-hyun) first meet on an art school campus and fall in love at first sight. Even after a decade, they still love each other to death — and hate each other just as much — pulling all sorts of crazy stunts for the sake of love. Messily Ever After (WT) leans into the emotional whiplash of a long-term relationship, capturing the messy mix of loyalty, irritation, desire, and doubt that comes with truly knowing someone.

Reuniting after their romance in Pachinko, Kim Min-ha and Noh Sang-hyun reunite as college sweethearts now in their tenth year together. This time, their chemistry shifts into romcom territory, playing a couple who can read each other’s minds with just a look.

Kim Min-ha plays Su-hyun, a perfectionist curator who keeps everything under control at work but finds herself losing her cool entirely when love and jealousy are involved. Noh Sang-hyun portrays Hyun-tae, an installation artist and Su-hyun’s long-term partner. Passionate about his craft and unafraid to stand his ground, Hyun-tae brings a different kind of intensity to their relationship.

With a romance built on ten years of shared history — full of highs, lows, and everything in between — Messily Ever After (WT) uses their push-and-pull dynamic to explore what it really means to stay together when the honeymoon phase has long ended.

Directed by emerging filmmaker Seo Jung-min, Messily Ever After (WT) is expected to blend sharp, witty storytelling with a grounded look at modern relationships. The film is produced by Bombaram Film, the studio behind the young adult romance Love Untangled (directed by Namkoong Sun) and the acclaimed drama Kim Ji-young, Born 1982 (directed by Kim Do-yeong). Netflix and Bombaram Film are set to deliver a fresh take on long-term love — one that feels both comforting and real.

Building on its track record of empowering fresh voices through films like Love Untangled, 20th Century Girl, and Lost in Starlight, Netflix is once again shining a spotlight on new creative talent with Messily Ever After (WT).

Stay tuned for more updates on Messily Ever After (WT), exclusively on Netflix.
