SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Port of San Diego Harbor Police responded to a fight in progress just after midnight Sunday at North Harbor Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a security guard unconscious, not breathing and without a pulse, according to authorities.

Authorities say the man’s state was a result of a physical altercation. According to the report, Harbor Police officers immediately began performing life-saving measures on the victim and successfully restored his pulse.

The victim was then reportedly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was stabilized and remains hospitalized there.

The altercation allegedly occurred at 1800 North Harbor Drive near City Cruises by Hornblower as an excursion was disembarking, authorities say.

Authorities say both suspects are in custody on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon or force likely to cause great bodily injury.
