Brush fire prompts temporary evacuations in 4S Ranch thumbnail

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) – A brush fire near homes prompted temporary evacuations Sunday in the 4S Ranch area.

The fire occurred around 4:28 p.m. in the 16100 block of 4S Ranch Pkwy, according to the Rancho Santa Fire Protection District.

The County of San Diego’s Emergency Map initially issued an evacuation order but has since lifted the evacuations as of 5:24 p.m.

Residents may return to their homes.

A temporary evacuation point was set up at Del Norte High School, located at 16601 Nighthawk Ln.
