Millie Bobby Brown Gives Sweet Shoutout to Her & Jake Bongiovi’s Baby
Millie Bobby Brown thinks Jon Bon Jovi gives love a good name.
Three weeks after she celebrated her first wedding anniversary with the Bon Jovi frontman’s son Jake Bongiovi, the Stranger Things actress gave her father-in-law a special title.
Indeed, as Millie played a matching game alongside her Stranger Things costars Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Sadie Sink, she revealed that the “Livin’ on a Prayer” artist is her favorite ‘80s icon.
And the rock band was touched by the accolade, commenting on the Oct. 16 TikTok, “An honor.”
But the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer doesn’t just hold one special title for Millie. In fact, he was promoted to being a grandfather to her and Jake’s baby girl, who they announced they had adopted in August, which the musician said has been “crazy, but great, wonderful.”
“They adopted a girl, and we met the baby obviously, and immediately it becomes your grandchild, your baby,” the 63-year-old (real name John Francis Bongiovi Jr.) shared on the Sept. 21 episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast. “It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures like every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already. It’s cool.”
Beyond being in love with their baby girl, Jon—also dad to kids Stephanie, 32, Jesse, 30, and Romeo, 21, with wife Dorothea Hurley—is fully supportive of Millie, 21, and Jake, 23, getting married, despite critics of their young ages.
“We blessed it because we get it, you know?” he continued. “They’re sorta mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young.”

Jon added, “Her and Jake fell in love and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this.’ And it’s working out.”
Plus, the “It’s My Life” singer is simply a fan of Millie.
“She’s fabulous,” he told E! News in April 2024. “She’s really wonderful and her and Jake are a great couple.”
