SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — More than two million registered voters throughout San Diego County are expected to receive mail ballots this week for the November Special Election.

Registered voters can now return their mail ballot for the Nov. 4 special election to any of the official ballot drop boxes across the county or return their ballot by mail.

To find the drop box nearest you, check out the Official Ballot Drop Box Location Finder, which displays an interactive map that also shows where you can locate 24-hour drop boxes in your area.

To ensure your ballot is returned correctly, make sure it is marked and sealed inside a return envelope that is dated and signed with your name on the outside of the envelope. Your signature is required for your vote to count.

Early voting is taking place at the Registrar of Voters Office in Kearny Mesa between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Nov. 4, all vote centers, official ballot drop boxes, and the Registrar’s office will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters are deciding whether to adopt Proposition 50, an amendment to the State Constitution related to redistricting.

Voters in the City of Poway’s Council District 2 will have another question on their ballot, regarding whether to remove their elected representative on the city council from office.
