SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was found stabbed in the backyard of a home Friday in San Ysidro, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 2:39 p.m. in the 100 block of West Park Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the victim in the backyard with a stab wound to the stomach. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Police describe the suspect as a man about 5 feet 10 inches with a tribal tattoo on his arm.

Authorities found a BB gun in the backyard but are also investigating to see if a real firearm was involved.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police confirm there is no threat to the public.
