Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc.’s educational television series “Ready, Set, Read!” was named the national winner for the Philippines in the Best Children’s Program category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) 2025 and is set to represent the country in Singapore on December 4.

Designed to strengthen English literacy and reading comprehension among Filipino children in the early grades, the television series makes learning English enjoyable and accessible, aligned with the Department of Education’s curriculum.

“Ready, Set, Read!” follows the story of Joji and his animal friends, Cathy, Ogot, Marj, and Nene, as they learn to read, write, and communicate in age-appropriate ways, engaging learners through lively songs, rhymes, dances, colorful graphics, and animations.

Over the years, the series has also earned several distinctions, including the Anak TV Seal in 2023, a Special Citation for Best Children and Youth Program at the 44th Catholic Mass Media Awards, a KBP Golden Dove finalist citation, and an Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Project award from the League of Corporate Foundations in 2022.
