SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Police are searching for a suspect after a person was robbed at gunpoint Friday evening on a San Diego street.

San Diego Police confirmed they are actively searching for a man believed to be in his early 20s who fled the area of 44th Street and Polk Avenue in the City Heights neighborhood around 6:55 p.m. Friday after reportedly robbing someone on the street at gunpoint.

The victim reported to police the suspect took their phone and wallet.

Police are working to investigate the armed-robbery.
