SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man is dead after an overnight crash near the Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista over the weekend.
Deputies with the Vista Sheriff’s Station and first responders arrived at S Melrose Drive, between Shadowridge Drive and Longhorn Drive, just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday and found a heavily damaged vehicle with a man inside who was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s department reports. Their identity has not yet been released.
Authorities did not release any additional details into the crash other than there was only one vehicle involved and broken concrete and debris was found strewn across the roadway.
The cause and circumstances of the crash are under investigation by San Diego County Sheriff Traffic Investigators.
