A SPRINTER train collided with a vehicle in Vista causing a major road blockage. Fortunately, no one was injured and both the train and vehicle sustained only minor damage.

VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A major road was blocked in Vista after a SPRINTER train collided with a vehicle Sunday afternoon.

First responders rushed to the scene of a train collision with a vehicle just before 3 p.m. on Woodland Drive and S Santa Fe Avenue in Vista in northern San Diego County.

The Vista Fire Department confirmed no one was injured in the collision and the train and vehicle both sustained minor damage.

The intersection at Woodland Drive and S Santa Fe Avenue was closed to through traffic for around an hour, which caused a traffic backup.

The collision is under investigation.
