Dezeen Showroom: Swiss brand Impact Acoustic has put a sound-dampening spin on a classic style of lighting with Spark, an acoustic pendant lamp.
The Spark acoustic light has a simple yet elegant round shade that Impact Acoustic says reveals a more playful character upon closer inspection.
It is made of shaped Archisonic material, a felt made entirely of Cradle to Cradle certified, recycled PET plastic that functions as an acoustic absorber and helps to create a pleasant auditory environment in the space below.
Available in 36 different colours and five different sizes – including a large iteration with a diameter measuring 1600 millimetres – the Spark lamp can be hung alone or in dynamic clusters.
It delivers a powerful illumination of up to 5000 luments and is DALI compatible for easy integration within lighting control systems.
