Dezeen Showroom: flowing joints created through expert hand-finishing characterise this collection of occasional tables by designer Magnus Long and British brand Morgan.
The Barricane tables evolved out of Long and Morgan‘s previously-released Barricane dining chair collection, which were designed to highlight traditional cane craftsmanship in combination with carefully shaped timber.
For the occasional tables, their dedication to exploring the technicality of furniture making continues, with a focus this time on sculptural design that highlights the beauty of the wood.
CNC-machined timber elements are joined and finished by hand to give the pieces softened edges and seamless connections, creating an overall organic and supple look.
The Barricane tables are available in five variations, including three coffee tables, a small high cocktail table and a laptop table.
The tables can be used alone or arranged in clusters, and are available in a choice of beech, oak, ash or walnut timber in an array of finishes.
