Sydney Sweeney Teases Euphoria Character Cassie Is “Even Worse” in Season 3
This is a truly euphoric reunion.
As Euphoria continues production for its long awaited third season, members of the cast, including Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow and Hunter Schafer, enjoyed a night out at The GasLite Karaoke bar in Los Angeles August 2.
In videos and photos shared to X August 3, the HBO stars sang a rendition of “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes and sat together in a booth chatting and enjoying drinks.
The night out for the stars comes over three years after the second season of Sam Levinson series aired back in 2022. And while production for the third and final season finally began back in February, the actors have only given coy updates on what fans can expect from the upcoming episodes.
As Sydney—whose American Eagle campaign recently made headlines—shared during a July appearance on The Tonight Show, “Cassie is crazy.”
And while that’s not unusual for her character, the 27-year-old joked that this upcoming season it’s “even worse.”
Zendaya, who plays Rue, however, wants to see her character go in a completely different direction for season three, telling The Hollywood Reporter back in 2022 that her wish for her character is “literally just to be able to be alive and maybe enjoy it.”
Meanwhile, Hunter, for her part, has given insight into how the actors are feeling about the season behind the scenes, admitting that the thought of returning to set without Angus Cloud, who played Fezco before he tragically died in 2023, was difficult.
“Obviously I’m still coming to qualms about what’s happened and losing people that we really loved and were a part of this family and everything,” Hunter said during an appearance on Call Her Daddy last year. “If we do go back, that’s going to be tough.”

Still, the 26-year-old was able to envision a way of paying homage to the late actor with the upcoming season, adding, “There’s a world in which we can channel that into making it a beautiful Season 3—if it is supposed to happen.”
Indeed, it is happening. As fans wait for an official release date, keep reading for more TV shows to add to your radar…

Ending: And Just Like That…
Series creator Michael Patrick King revealed the Sex And The City spin-off starring Sarah Jessica Parker will end after the current third season in a two-part finale.
“And just like that…the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end,” Michael said in an Aug 1 Instagram post. “While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That…season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.”
“SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn’t want the word ‘final’ to overshadow the fun of watching the season,” he added. “It’s with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years.”
