Dezeen Showroom: oversized, rounded forms make a statement piece of this side table made from aluminium by Danish furniture brand Formarkivet.
Part of a collection that also includes coffee tables, console tables and dining tables, the Cubio side table has a cube-like shape comprised of four chubby legs that curve seamlessly upwards to form an equally thick top.

As well as having a sculptural presence, the Cubio side table is multifunctional, Formarkivet points out, as it can double as stool when extra seating is required.
The table is available with either a raw finish that contrasts the rounded forms with an industrial edge, or powder-coated in a contemporary semi-gloss light beige.
