Christina Aguilera Has No Regrets About Her Dirrty Era!
Christina Aguilera’s throwback is beautiful in every single way.
Indeed, 22 years after the “Genie in a Bottle” singer stunned in a head-turning green gown for Versace’s fall 2003 campaign, she stepped back into the look while attending the West End premiere of Burlesque: The Musical in London.
Christina arrived at the Savoy Theatre on July 21 in a strapless dress, featuring a corset that crossed across the front bodice and a slit maxi skirt embellished with billowing ruffles. She completed the look with thigh-high black leather boots and a moody dark lip color to match.
Similar to her hair two decades ago, the 44-year-old—who is a producer for the onstage production of the 2010 film she starred in alongside Cher—paid homage to the photoshoot with her platinum blonde locks simply cascading down her back.
For Donatella Versace—who stepped down as Versace’s creative director in March after nearly 30 years to lead the company’s philanthropic endeavors—Christina was the perfect fit for the brand.
“I watch the videos of Christina and I always die,” the designer told Billboard in 2003 of the campaign. “ She is a great dancer, a great singer, her voice is amazing. I always hoped I could do something with her, but I wanted to be friends first, that is the most important thing for me.”
For Christina’s part, she was looking forward to entering a new industry for the project. As she explained to the outlet, “I’m very excited and this is a whole new world for me, so that’s very exciting.”

The “Beautiful” singer—who shares daughter Summer, 10, with fiancé Matthew Rutler and son Max, 16, with ex-husband Jordan Bratman—has proven that nothing can hold her down when it comes to her creative vision.
“I feel like this is a chapter in my life where I’m more in tune and focused on exactly what I want to do,” she told Vogue last January. “I’ve always been a very open artist as far as wanting to create things I haven’t tapped into yet, discovering more about myself, and the next area of growth I want to pursue.”
