Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Fiandre aimed to capture the qualities of geological matter created at the time of the Big Bang in Pulsar, a stone-look tile collection.

Pulsar porcelain stoneware tiles feature patterns that intend to mimic both stone and primordial matter.

Pulsar has a softly patterned stone-like surface

Fiandre describes the tile as being “the embodiment of sensory architecture, expressing the encounter of beauty, light and depth”.

The Pulsar collection is available in five neutral colours and three finishes: the smooth and velvety Silky surface, the textured Natural Plus or the richly three-dimensional Structured.

In addition to the standard 10-millimetre collection, the tile is available in a 20-millimetres thickness that is better suited to the outdoors, where increased load resistance is required.

Made with 40 per cent recycled raw material, Pulsar is a full-body tile with colour running throughout, minimising the appearance of wear or damage.
