Druski experienced a bit of a fumble at the 2025 ESPY Awards.

While the comedian looked the part as he took to the stage during the July 16 ceremony to present the award for Best Team—dressed in a navy suit bearing the logo of sporting organization World Aquatics—he forgot one crucial item: the winner’s envelope.

“So, I am a little bit of a dumb–s,” Druski said onstage. “I did not bring the envelope up here.”

Amid the sound of laughter—including his own—he continued, “But I left it at my seat, could you please? I’m sorry, everybody act as if this didn’t happen.”

And sure enough, a kind seat neighbor soon ran the envelope to the stage. “Yeah ESPYS,” Druski joked, “first time!”

But despite the hiccup, the 30-year-old was able to successfully hand out the award to recent Super Bowl winners the Philadelphia Eagles.

The NFL team beat out the NHL’s Florida Panthers, the MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers, the WNBA’s New York Liberty, the NCAA Football’s Ohio State Buckeyes, the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder, the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse’s North Carolina Tarheels, soccer’s US Women’s National Team and the University of Connecticut women’s basketball team the Huskies.

Other winners from the ceremony—which was hosted by comedian Shane Gillis—included rugby’s Ilona Maher for Best Breakthrough Athlete, basketball’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and gymnastics’ Simone Biles for Best Athlete in men’s and women’s sports as well as gymnastics’ Suni Lee for Best Comeback Athlete.

During the evening, the ESPYs also handed out its annual Icon Award to soccer’s Alex Morgan and basketball’s Diana Taurasi in recognition of their “incredible careers and significant impact on the world of sports.”

During the pair’s joint acceptance speech, Alex referenced the many female athletes that had come before her to help her land on that stage.

“We’re standing on the shoulders of giants, and this is a huge tribute to them as much as us,” the USWNT alum said from the Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater stage. “So, to the women before us, it’s because of you that we never have to apologize for speaking up or for fighting to raise the bar.”

She added, “It’s because of you that we have no limits.”

Diana, meanwhile, shared a special shoutout to her support system.

“In my case, let’s celebrate my parents and their immigrant grit,” the basketball player said. “That’s the stuff that doesn’t show up in the highlight reels but it shows up when the lights go off and you’re still out there grinding—giving me a better life that’s built what my career is and built this country.”
